The Oxford Ski Company

New brand promotion for premium holiday site

The Oxford Ski Company are the UK's largest luxury ski travel agent and have been organising holidays for over a decade; with Europe, North America and Canada as some of the key destinations. Following Gibe's success with developing the OS Private Travel website - the sister company to The Oxford Ski Company, Gibe were appointed in February 2012 to redesign and redevelop the main Oxford Ski website.

The key objectives of the redevelopment was to increase booking enquiries coming from the website and to create a look and feel that reflected the premium position and expert knowledge of the travel consultants at Oxford Ski. Additionally it was imperative that Oxford Ski maintained the SEO equity which they had spent a lot of time and money developing on the old website.

Gibe translated the brief into a sleek, contemporary interface design which showcases the stunning chalets. There is some great user features on the website including a smart refine and search function allowing quick access to the 450+ rental properties and 80+ hotels on offer! Also the wish list tool allows users to collect all the properties they find interesting together where they can then contact and sales consultant with all the properties they wish to enquire about.

The site is built using HTML5 and Umbraco CMS. It is integrated with the Oxford Ski Company back office systems to dynamically pull in property and resort information.

The site has performed really well from and SEO perspective with improvements across the board for keywords leading in increased organic search traffic. Anecdotal feedback from travel industry has been fantastic.

Here is a breakdown of the skills we used:
