An ecommerce site with a nautical theme for lovers of deck shoes and more
Chatham Marine is at the forefront of marine footwear trends with a collection of quality women's and men's footwear. With rapid growth plans and aggressive targets, Gibe were appointed to create a website that responded to Chatham’s business initiatives. By improving standard ecommerce functionality and brand experience, Gibe created an ecommerce website increasing turnover 39%.
The site is built using Magento; a sophisticated ecommerce platform that provides flexible and robust system for content, customer orders and stock management. Gibe created and modified Magento modules, custom templates and styling to create a tailored solution specifically matched to Chatham's requirements. As well as driving ecommerce revenues there was a clear aim to encourage footfall to stockists which called for an easy to use search feature, detailing nearby outlets. The news and blog sections that appear alongside the real time chat functionality engages the customer with the brand experience leading to greater commercial results.
Since the website launch in February 2012, the ecommerce performance has positively improved with revenue increasing by 40% and transactions by 35%. The average order value has also increased by 4.5% with unique purchases increasing by 17%. Search traffic improved by 65% which also reflected in visitors which increased by 50%.
