After the 2015 edition of the popular CodeGarden, I look at the conference, its future and some of the interesting Umbraco packages to take away from the event.
Every year, hundreds of dedicated Umbraco fans visit Copenhagen, Denmark, for an annual conference of like-minded individuals to learn and share knowledge of the ever popular content management system (CMS).
Our April social was a fun outing to Jungle Rumble adventure golf, followed by food at Tampopo in Bristol.
This year Gibe digital are supporting a great cause, South West Children’s Hospice.
SWCH is a charity dedicated to supporting children across the South West of England and was founded in 1991 by Eddie and Jill Farwell after they experienced for themselves the urgent need for hospice care for children in the South West.
They manage 3 hospices which are refugees for children and their families, giving them an environment that allows them to feel themselves again no matter what is keeping them from a healthy life. By making the most of every moment because time is so valuable and is incredibly important to families and having the support and environment to allow them to share that time together.
We are planning a number of events across the year in order to raise the maximum of money for this cause and we would love you to join us and support this great charity.
To start with Nick is going to ride from Cornwall to Bristol in July and you can support him by clicking on the following link.
Other events include charity auctions, runs and walks and much more.
The Bristol Content Group hosted a live webcast with Chris and Mike from Newfangled, a web development agency that doesn't create websites?!
So here it is folks, Mega or Cyber Monday where online retailers hope that not everyone spent everything on Black Friday and are rushing to their laptops, phones and tablets to get all those gifts for Christmas. But is it a self-fulfilling prophecy or something real?
I recently attended the Umbraco UK Festival 2013 in London and went to a talk by Matt Brailsford.
Matt talked about bridging front end/back end divide in the digital workplace, and I wanted to explore his thoughts and really consider how much back end a front end developer should really know!
We are really pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for 3 awards in the last week in conjunction with our lovely clients Quba & Co and Armit Wines.
OJ and Nick with a little help from Bad Tri, bagged themselves 15 confirmed Gromits on a 8.5Km run. Should have been 17 but we were on a deadline!
I attended the CLA game fair on Friday (19th July, 2013) in order to better understand the market that a couple of our clients are involved with and to see what all the fuss was about.
